Welcome to Mafou Consulting. By using our services, including subscription-based quantity takeoffs, cost estimation, project planning, and consulting, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Introduction

Mafou Consulting (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides professional construction estimation services, including subscription-based quantity takeoffs and additional cost consulting solutions. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our services offered at www.mafouconsulting.com.

By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

2. Services Offered

Mafou Consulting provides the following services:

  1. Subscription-Based Quantity Takeoff Services – Clients can subscribe to a monthly or annual plan for recurring takeoff services.

  2. One-Time Quantity Takeoffs – Available for clients who prefer a pay-per-project model instead of a subscription.

  3. Cost Estimation & Budgeting – Detailed cost breakdowns for projects to assist in bid preparation and financial planning.

  4. Project Planning & Consulting – Advisory services to optimize project execution, scheduling, and budgeting.

  5. Customized Reporting & Analysis – Tailored reports based on project specifications and client needs.

For non-subscription services, specific terms may be outlined in separate agreements.

3. Service Expectations & Limitations

  • Mafou Consulting does not guarantee bid acceptance or cost accuracy beyond industry-standard best practices.

  • Clients must review and verify estimates before submission to ensure they meet project-specific needs.

  • Turnaround times are estimates and may vary based on workload, project complexity, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Our services do not include procurement, labor calculations, or material purchases beyond estimation.

 

4. Subscription Services

  • Subscriptions grant access to our professional takeoff services, with pricing and deliverables outlined on our website.

  • Work is completed on a one-project-at-a-time basis. A new request begins only after the previous one is finalized.

  • Turnaround times depend on project complexity and workload. Expedited services may be available for an additional fee.

  • Clients can pause or cancel their subscriptions at any time, subject to the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

  • Mafou Consulting reserves the right to modify subscription plans and pricing with a 30-day notice.

 

5. Payment & Billing

  • Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and must be paid in advance.

  • One-time services (e.g., cost estimation, consulting) are billed per project, with terms specified in the service agreement.

  • Payments are processed securely through third-party providers. Mafou Consulting does not store credit card details.

  • Late or failed payments may result in service suspension or cancellation.

  • Pricing adjustments will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.

 

6. Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • We offer a 7-day satisfaction guarantee for new subscription users. If you cancel within the first 7 days, you may be eligible for a full refund.

  • No refunds are issued for completed takeoff work.

  • One-time services (e.g., cost estimation, consulting) are non-refundable once the work has started.

  • If you cancel your subscription mid-cycle, access to services continues until the end of the billing period, but no partial refunds are provided.

 

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must provide accurate and complete project documents (blueprints, drawings, specifications) for takeoff and estimation requests.

  • Errors or missing details in provided files may affect accuracy and turnaround time.

  • Clients agree not to misuse our services for fraudulent or unethical purposes.

  • Consulting services require client participation, including providing necessary project details and availability for discussions.

 

8. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality

  • All completed takeoffs, estimates, and reports remain Mafou Consulting’s intellectual property until full payment is received. Upon delivery and payment, clients gain full rights to use the materials.

  • Mafou Consulting respects client confidentiality and does not share project information with third parties without explicit consent.

  • Clients may not resell or redistribute our deliverables without prior written agreement.

  • Mafou Consulting implements data protection measures but is not liable for third-party breaches (e.g., payment processors, cloud storage providers).

 

9. Service Limitations & Liability

  • Mafou Consulting provides estimates and takeoffs for informational purposes. Final bid responsibility lies with the client.

  • We are not liable for cost overruns, project delays, or bid rejections resulting from reliance on our estimates.

  • We exclude all liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from service use.

 

10. Force Majeure

Mafou Consulting is not liable for service disruptions due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, fires)

  • Cybersecurity incidents (hacks, data breaches)

  • Government actions or regulatory changes

  • Supply chain disruptions affecting data sources

 

11. Termination of Services

  • Mafou Consulting reserves the right to terminate or suspend services if a client violates these Terms & Conditions.

  • Clients who misuse the service, fail to make payments, or engage in unethical conduct may have their accounts closed without refund.

  • Upon termination, clients forfeit access to all subscription benefits, and work in progress may not be completed.

 

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

  • Clients must attempt mediation before arbitration for disputes.

  • Any arbitration shall be conducted in Toronto, Canada.

 

13. Modifications to Terms

  • Mafou Consulting reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes via email or website updates.

  • Continued use of services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
